Children's Ministry
|
| |
The Children's Ministry of Life UPC, is a place where children learn to know, love, and serve God. We help families lay a spiritual foundation for their children so that in God's timing each child can come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. SPECIAL EVENTS: Life UPC Kids involves in many different events during the year to help promote friendships and learning experiences. In the summer, junior camp and senior camp with engaging and fun programs, opportunities to make new friends and participate in some awesome activities.
NURSERY: The purpose of the nursery ministry is to care for babies from birth to 24 months in a clean, safe, and loving environment. Here children are provided a nurturing environment that will establish caring relationships that begin at birth. It is not merely a baby-sitting service, but a ministry to both our congregation as well as our guests. Since providing excellent care in the nursery requires the involvement of volunteers and workers every Sunday, members of the congregation are asked to serve on the nursery schedule. By serving in this capacity, you are allowing others to grow in their walk with Jesus Christ.

Deaf Ministry
|
 |

"And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." Mark 16:15 "And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind shall see out of obscurity, and out of darkness." Isaiah 29:18 "Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life." John 8:12 This is a miracle ministry that God has brought into being for the "last days." He promised to have a witness to every nation, and we are that witness to the deaf. Our goal is to be the hands that God uses to teach the Gospel! This ministry is just beginning and we are excited and looking forward to what God is going to do.

Music Ministry

Life’s Music Ministry
Mission Statement
Our mission for the LIFE UPC Music ministry is to usher God’s presence in by our praise and worship. Our goal is to sing a new song unto the Lord with both talent and anointing. While, these come only by the Holy Ghost, we must strive for excellence. The anointing we receive will destroy the yolks of bondage upon the saints and sinners. Our ultimate desire is to develop, learn and worship as the Lord anoints and uses us. The objective of any ministry is to win souls. Our desire is to lead them to the feet of Jesus where they can find salvation.
Vision Statement
The vision for the Music ministry of Life UPC is a vast pallet of goals and ambitions. As we develop in talent, unity and anointing the department will continue to grow. The future holds many things for our music. We desire a talented choir and a 12 to 15 person praise team as well as more musicians to accompany the worship team. We have acquired choir robes that we would like to continue to purchase for a growing dept. The sign, drama and sound department fall within the Music ministry here at Life. Our goal is to see more in all three areas of ministry. The planning of entire orchestrated musicals, as well as plays, will be in our horizon. The ministry of sign is to be developed by way of education and in its frequency within our services. The ministry of music is a vehicle that is noninvasive but far reaching. The goal for further education and a more varied musical compilation is of the utmost importance in this department. Speaking within a cultural vein, we must begin to bridge the gap. Spanish, southern gospel and black spirituals are just a few of the implementations that the future holds for us. As a music team, we must strive for self- improvement as well as building our interpersonal relationships within the team. Reaching beyond who we are by way of study, leadership material and musical training will surely thrust the music department into higher dimensions of praise and worship.

Rev. David Midgorden |
|
Rev. David Midgorden is a native of Des Moines, Iowa. He was brought to Fort Stewart/Hinesville, Georgia in 1997 after enlisting in the US Army. In 1998, through an awesome testimony of deliverance from drugs and alcohol, Brother Dave came to know Christ and the salvation experience of baptism in Jesus name and the infilling of the Holy Ghost by evidence of speaking in other tongues. Brother Dave grew quickly in the Lord and became youth leader at Life in 1998 under the pastor ship of Rev. Billy Wilson. He also took on other numerous ministries including Sunday school teacher, and worship leader. In 2001 he married his wife Cheryl, and in 2003, during his tour of duty in Iraq (Operation Iraqi Freedom), they became parents to Samuel. While in Iraq and in other numerous training operations, Brother David was able to counsel and give bible studies to his fellow soldiers. Now out of the Army and under the pastor ship of Rev. Thomas Crutchfield, Brother Dave has become Assistant Pastor of Life as well as continuing his ministry with the youth, Sunday school, worship leader, and other areas.
